Tequila History Lesson:

Tequila comes from the blue agave plant, and was named after a town west of Guadalajara (Jalisco) Mexico, and sometimes called mescal wine.  Much like wine, depending on where the blue agave plant grows can impact its flavor and taste.  Only tequila produced in Jalisco can indeed be labeled tequila, while many imitations are produced throughout Mexico.  Jose Cuervo held the first license to manufacture the beverage, courtesy of the King of Spain, and is still to this day is one of the most popular tequila’s sold.

Tacos (or Taquito’s) and Tequila – the perfect marriage.

Get to Ori’Zaba’s All Day Tuesday July 24th.
