National Tortilla Chip Day is February 24th
Tortilla Chips – The Worlds Gift To US
Tortilla Chips
a meal
a snack
a side dish
They really are the perfect food!
Do you like nachos loaded up with your favorite toppings?
Do you prefer them on the side to scoop up your overflowing burrito or taco?
Are you a purist eating them plain?
Hot or mild salsa? Queso? Guac?
Do you like to dip them, top them, drown them?
THERE IS NO WRONG WAY TO EAT A CHIP
We like them all ways!
Did you know that every day Ori’Zaba’s chefs hand fry bags and bags of fresh chips?
WHY? Because only the freshest chips will do. No pre-made bags of mediocrity at Ori’Zaba’s. You can taste the difference in every single crunchy, salty bite of perfection in our daily-made tortilla chips. Shhhh don’t tell – we also squeeze fresh limes over the chips, making them that much more addictive.
Where do tortilla chips come from?
Some say they were made popular in the 1940s as a way to make use of rejected tortillas from tortilla manufacturing – and they originated in California, not Mexico!?! But frankly we dont care where they came from, we are just glad they exist….and that there’s a National Holiday to celebrate their deliciousness.
All hail the tortilla chip.
